Translation origin icon disappearing (Studio 2011)

Hi folks,

I've recently noticed something unusual happening in the segment status column while translating in Editor. The "translation status icon" (see link in case not clear) keeps disappearing when I edit a suggested match.

http://producthelp.sdl.com/SDL%20Trados%20Studio/client_en/SDL_Trados_Studio_Help.htm#Edit_View/Ab_EdCon.htm

Normally, the best match gets copied in automatically, with the match value in a coloured square in the segment status column. If you choose to edit the best match, the coloured square stays and keeps its number, but it turns transparent. Now, unfortunately, instead of going transparent and staying, that box with the match number in it is disappearing entirely if I edit the best match. This makes it look like there was no match at all in the TM for that segment, which is irritating.

I have found this function very helpful for proofreaders in the past and am disappointed that it doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Thanks!
