In certain DOC-files (coming from different customers, so the problem is "mine"), Trados switches automatically to tw4winMark, so both source and target segments get "smaller" and "almost" locked. No problem to update translation or memory. And you can adjust it after cleanup, but it's annoying.
When I fuzzy a translated file (for revision), I can see it switches several segments, but it has also happened that whereas I had one already switched segment open, next one would get back to normal. This problem happened several years ago in RTF-files from PageMaker, but it solved by itself when people now use InDesign.... It had not shown up in Word and started again now, after my computer was "cleaned" after a failure in the antivirus system.
I "could" work in TagEditor and I "could" work in Word 2007, but there are other issues that do I can prefer working in Word 2003.
