Dear Colleagues,
I just received a Word file which has been translated (as it turned out) with Trados. I don't have access to Trados on this computer. Is there any possibility to clean up the file without Trados? May be there is a possibility to just copy the target text or delete the source text?

Kr.

delete all hidden text May 23, 2013

Hi Kristine
It should be enough to choose Replace Text in Word (usually Ctrl-H) and select all hidden text (maybe Ctrl-Q in your locale) and click on Replace All.
I presume the target colour is the same as the original, or else you will need to change that too
Good luck
Anthony

Another method May 23, 2013

Call up the macros in Word: Alt + F8, scroll down and choose "tw4winClean.Main", press OK, and you will have the cleaned target file almost instantaneously.

It did not show any macros in the document.

Anyway, thanks for your supporticon_smile.gif

You're welcome, but a window with the macros list should appear, at least in Office 2007, and the list of macros in earlier versions can be accessed via the menu. I use this quite often, so I know it works perfectly.

Here's a thread confirming it:
