I received several AutoCAD files for translation. I used TRANS utility to extract text from DWG drawings. The extracted text in the resulting TXT files looks like this:
{413DD}
Розробив
{413DC}
Голов.спец.
{413DB}
{\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;ГАП}
{413DA}
{\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;Кер\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c0|p18;. \fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;АМП}
{413D9}
Дата
{413D8}
{\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;Підпис}
{413D7}
№ док.
{413D6}
Арк.
{413D5}
{\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;Кільк\fArial|b0|i0|c204|p34;.}
{413D4}
{\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c204|p18;Змін\fTimes New Roman|b0|i0|c0|p18;.}

Text marked in red should be skipped by Trados.

The question is: how can I create filetype rules (Tools-Options-File Types) in Trados Studio 2011 so that the untranslatable text is filtered out? Any RegExp experts here?

The tags to be skipped can look like this: {2B052}, {BFA9}, {3E91} etc. The text that starts with {\ should NOT be skipped.

How about... May 24, 2013

.... this:

I created a regex filetype using these inline tags:

Placeholders:
{[^;]*}
(?<=[^{])\\f.+?;

Tag Pair:
{\\.*?;
}$

Maybe not perfect but it seems to do the job for your sample.

Regards

Paul
