Hi all,

I would like to start a new project using a Termbase and, thus, I am testing the software as I have never used this option before.
I have created a new Termbase from scratch, so it is empty by now.
I have opened a document for translation and linked it to the newly created Termbase through the 'options' menu.
Now, within the text to be translated, I highlight a word in the source text and the appropriate translated word in the target, but when clicking the right mouse button on one of the highlighted words, the option 'add new term' is grey and seems not to be working.

Why would that be?

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Laura

Same problem Jun 11, 2013

I am having exactly the same problem in Studio 2011. I select terms in source and target, right click and select Add new term, but nothing happens.

I tried this and I get an error message:

"Application Blocked by Security Settings

"Name: EditController

"Your security setting have blocked a local application from running"

Anyone know how to get around this?

Java Issue Jun 11, 2013

This is a known issue - depending on your OS -> Configuration Panel -> Security -> set to Medium - should fix the issue.

Perfect. I changed Java security to medium and it is now working fine, including on the fly in Studio 2011. Many thanks.

Still not working Sep 13, 2013

Hi,

I have changed Java to Medium, but I still can't add terms on the fly in Trados. When I highlight the source and target terms and click "add new term" the old terms come up, but the highlighted words don't appear and I have no option to add them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Helen
