cannot open translated idml file in INDD after translating in Studio 2011

Hi,
Can anyone help? I get the following error when I try to open the clean translation of an idml export from INDD CS6 that has been translated using Studio 2011:
non può essere aperto. Non è formato correttamente
Anyone come across this error? How do I open the file to tidy up the DTP?
