G'day everyone

I just tried to open a return project package that I had sent to a client two days ago. Trados gives the following error message:

Failed to import return package, because it contains a project that does not exist in your setup.

So...

1. Would the client be getting the same error mesage?

2. Is there any way that I can trick Trados into opening the package anyway? I need to get to the files of that project because the client is now asking for some of the files individually, and I really have no idea where I saved the original files of that project (because I still haven't figured out why Trados creates folders or where it creates them or why I can't have control over where Trados saves them whereever, which means that I tend to move folders around after the job was done).

Thanks
Samuel

Rename the file extension? Jul 24, 2013

If I remember correctly you could rename the project file extension to ".zip" and open it...

Opening return package Jul 24, 2013

You cannot open a return package in Studio that you yourself created. If you use the program 7-Zip, you can open the packages directly to get at the contents, i.e. the sdlxliff files.

Actually, I was able to unzip it without changing the file extension (using 7-zip). Thanks, I was able to open it. I was surprised to discover that the target files were not in the package (hence the client asking me to send them separately).
