I have been trying to install Trados 2011 on my laptop, running Win 7. The installer goes through a number of processes before a dialogue box appears:

The code fragment 'Chainer.ProductInfo.Family(new
Guid("{1F4F1D2A-D9DA-32CF-9909-48485DA06DD5}")).FirstOrDefault() != null &&
new Version(Chainer.ProductInfo.Family(new
Guid("{1F4F1D2A-D9DA-32CF-9909-48485DA06DD5}")).First().VersionString) >= new
Version(10, 0, 30319)' caused the following errors:
error CS0006: Metadata file 'System.Core.dll' could not be found

Thanks in advance!

error CS0006: Metadata file 'System.Core.dll' could not be found Aug 4, 2013

Hello, Bahaa-Allam! I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I contacted Russian office of Trados, and they recommended to do the following
1. Make User Account Control (UAC) inactive (Control panel).
2. Check your anti-virus software settings
3/ Check if you are trying to install Trados as Admin of this PC.

In my case, nothing of these worked. I had to reinstall my Windows XP. Obviously there was a problem with .NET - I suppose you have the same.

Before you reinstall:
The problem may have to do with Windows update -check if you have last versions of Servcie Packs.
You may also try to find file 'System.Core.dll' in your PC and copy it to Trados installation folder.
And, finally, delete all temporary files from the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\ if there are any.

If nothing helps - reinstall your OS.

This is how I solved it Jan 17, 2015

This is how I solved it.

1. Download DotNetFX35SP1 from your respective Microsoft sites and run it.
2. Restart your PC
3. Disable your antivirus
4. Just in case copy System.Core.dll in the installation folder SDL Studio created on the first installation attempt (Users and Settings\All Users\Packaged Cache\SDL and in all subfolders.
5. Run SDL installation program.

I hope it helps.
