I can't import a TMX file into Trados Studio.

Trados doesn't read nor import the units, but I get no message error.

How come? What can I do!

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Obvious questions would be... Aug 5, 2013

... does the SDLTM you are importing to match the languages of the TMX?

Are you sure the TMX contains anything? (Dumb question I know but maybe worth asking!)

Could the SDLTM already contain the units that were in the TMX?

Where did the TMX originate from?

Certainly we need a little more information to be able to answer this one as there are no known issues that would make me respond immediately with the answer you are looking for.

Maybe also try opening the TMX in Studio under the Open Translation Memory view and this will upgrade the TMX to an SDLTM. The result might help you to troubleshoot the import.
