Hi there. I'm pretty sure I'm just missing a step here, but I cannot figure it out.

I created a termbase in multiterm 2011 (desktop) by converting and importing an Excel. It works (in multiterm).

However, I cannot get the termbase to open in Studio. What am I doing wrong? The termbase files I see are two .txt files, an .xdt file and an .mtf. No .sdltb.

So studio does not find any termbases to open when I look for them. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Where is the termbase? Aug 13, 2013

You are supposed to show Studio the path to the TB.
Have you tried pointing it to your Documents folder, where you should have a SDL folder, under which there should be a SDL Multiterm folder, inside of which there should be a folder called Termbases?

only see sample termbases in that folder Aug 13, 2013

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm not at home now, so can't be sure, but I found the sample TB yesterday by going to that folder. The other TB files (txt, etc.) are on the desktop or in a folder I created under my documents. - I've made two different TBs. Maybe I did something wrong by saving the termbases to those locations when I created them? Any other ideas? I'll check this evening in any case, to make sure the files aren't in an SDL folder. They are obviously somewhere since multiterm is opening them!

Figured it out... Aug 13, 2013

Found it! ...on my other hard drive. Oops! Feel a bit silly, but at least Trados and multiterm are working correctly.
