Hi there,

I've been using Trados 2011 for some time now but such a thing has never happened to me before. As you may guess, the deadline is coming, so I'm counting on you!
The problem is that after generating a target file, all tables in the Word file are flipped horizontally.
Any ideas why and how to change it? When viewing a source file, all is ok.
Before importing the file for translation, I repaired it in MS Word and no errors were found...

Cheers,
Robert

Applying format brush? Sep 9, 2013

Hi Robert,

I don't quite understand what do the flipped tables look like, but as a quick remedy (without researching for the reasons of this problem), maybe you could just try using the format paint (aka malarz formatów) to apply the formatting from the "good-looking" source tables to the flipped tables in the translation?

Natalia

P.S. I mean doing this in Word, of course

Hi Natalia,

The table is rotated from left to right, like in the mirror, and the format brush doesn't work in this case I'm looking for some settings in Trados, but unsuccessfully so far.

Right to left language used in options? Sep 9, 2013

Try selecting all and setting the proper language?

Otherwise no more ideas...

Reveal formatting in Word Sep 10, 2013

Hi Robert, if you are still struggling with the problem: try to reveal formatting in Word to see what's going on. Press Shift + F1, and the Reveal Formatting pane displays.

have solved the problem Sep 11, 2013

I have managed to solve the problem using Studio 2009 instead of 2011. I used exactly the same file, pre-translated it using TM from T2011 and created the target file with correct formatting. Fortunately.

Natalie, thanks for your help.

Cheers,
R.
