Question/Bug with WinAlign matches in Studio

I am having a problem with an Align TM in Studio 2011.

Normally in Studio, when you make a change to a 100% match or a fuzzy match, the green/orange box goes transparent, but the number remains to indicate that it used to be a 100% match or fuzzy match before you got your grubby mitts on it. This is a valuable function for reviewers and for translators going back over their own work.

However, I've found that when I make a change specifically to a match created by WinAlign the little orange/green box disappears instead of going transparent. Is this a bug or by design? If it's by design, does anybody know how to turn it off?

I'm aware that the situation can be largely resolved by the reviewer using the 'pre-translation' TM, which will indicate that the changed segments used to be matches of various shades. However, this is a non-optimal workaround, and I would appreciate it if anyone might know how to get the transparent thingy working.

Thank you for your attention! Smiley face.
