Hi All - have now wasted about 1 1/2 hrs trying to find some information in Trados Help or online - all to no avail !

I have a VERY big file (sdlxliff) with around 70% repetitions, which I now have to proofread. I am working in Trados Studio 2011 Freelance - SP2R 10.4.3109.2) - is there anyway of filtering/blocking out all subsequent 100% matches once I have approved the 1st segment of many? I have many, many segments that are identical apart from one change (1st Class/2nd Class - or BahnCard 25/BahnCard50, etc. etc.) - I don't want to check every single segment individually when I have (in theory) checked it a hundred times already - there HAS to be an easy solution to this? (on the other hand, knowing Trados :/ ...)

During my research I have also discovered that I do not have any toolbars apart from standard and "tools", i.e. no "Display filters" option - how has this happened? Andn how do I change that?

Grateful for any input.

Jane

Toolbars missing Nov 12, 2013

Yes, if you read my post it says that for some reason I do not have that option under Toolbars ...

Don't know why and don't know how to "repair" that missing option ...

but thanksicon_smile.gif

File Open Nov 12, 2013

in Editor? The behaviour you're describing is when no file is open in the Editor?

But don't know how to change that ? Won't let me change it in the UserSettings file ... - Oh, will let me change it if I right-click and select edit - bit nervous of changing things mid-job as I have to deliver tonight. Will it work if I change it within that file ?

To Play it safe Nov 12, 2013

Rename all of the xml files as old, shut down and restart Studio 11, should recreate them hopefully with the right settings
