Studio 2014 Error message; Different number of items...

In my current job I have merged a large number of files on the fly and opened them for translation.
The following error message keeps appearing:
Different number of items in the markup segment than in the lingua segment.
I have tried searching for the meaning of this error without luck.
Does anyone know what it means and what effect, if any, it has on the translation?

I also get this error message often in Studio 2014.
However, there seems to be no real problem (other than continually getting the error message).

Anyone find a solution yet?

Disable TM or create new one Jul 14, 2016

This is caused by not having unique IDs for the trans unit.

Can someone elaborate on this? What does this mean? I'm having the same problem and this forumpost is the only mention I've come across during my
extensive usage of a certain popular search engine...
