When I create a project in Trados, the translation comes up as a 100% match.

But when I receive the return package from my translator, somehow the translation gets replaced with a totally different TU.

Did anyone else have the same issue?Or is this just a random Trados bug.

I'm in need of help here...

The file format I used was IDML.

Maybe the Translator... Dec 13, 2013

... changed the translation? Doesn't sound like a bug to me.

Change of source as well. Dec 16, 2013

The reason that I think that this is a bug is that the source segment was in English with a 100% match with the data from our TM.
But when my translator sent me the return package, the return package had the TU changed into the target language.

So here's how the segment looked like

(Return Package) Translation B : Translation B

So when we opened the return package, so here's how the final translation looked li

So since the package somehow changed the source TU as well, would it not be considered a Trados bug?

Or is there a way that the source segment could be editied in Trados 2011?

Thank you

IDML is the culprit Dec 16, 2013

I sometimes get from one of my clients SDLXLIFF files which they do themselves from my translated IDML files: in these files both the source and the target are my translations. The client says that it is fine and that it should be so. I cannot neither confirm nor disprove this as I don't own InDesign and work with the client's files in Studio only.

By the way, I send them "normal" SDLXLIFFs.
