If the section break sign is a period, how can you tell Studio, that each period in the file index is not a TU section break? Eg.

Strange... Dec 13, 2013

... results. I created two files, the first where I manually created exactly what you have here to see what happens, and then where I created a proper table of contents uning the controls in Word. So my two files look like this:

I then opened them both in Studio and I see this:

You can see how the manual one, where I copied your text shows me all the dots, but does not segment them. This is default settings on the TM segmentation rules.

But the second one is of course better, and this is because I created this one using styles in Word and generating a proper table of contents.

Did you try to change the segmentation rules in the first place?

Regards

Paul

Thank you Paul, Dec 13, 2013

in this specific case it seems like the original .docx is missing the "Table of contents" -style definition. The index is just written in. I'll check the specifications once more.

But even then... Dec 13, 2013

... when I write the index as you did, I still don't have segmentation after every dot (first file in the images). So it would be interesting to get to the bottom of why you see this?

Regards

Paul

I will try to figure that out next week. I switched to MemoQ with this project - it formed a perfect TU out of every index row

Just for interest... Dec 13, 2013

...try opening the file in Studio without a TM?
