Hi,

I open an sdlxliff file in a text editor and is surprised that the file contains the names and paths to the TMs I use during translation. I am not comfortable with this because I use my private TMs in addition to the TMs provided by my clients for specific projects. I don't want this information to be seen by my clients. Is there anything I can do (I don't want to mess up the files) or I don't have to worry about it at all? Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Fong-chyi Wen

Upon finishing your translation Dec 15, 2013

You should remove your local TM, and then save the file, done. At least in this format of text.

Thanks. Dec 16, 2013

Thanks, Flavio. But did you mean remove local TMs from the Project settings? Because I removed them from the task's settings and the paths to my private TMs for the project and each matches are still there. Thanks.

Detailed description Dec 16, 2013

Thank you for your answer. I think I didn't explain it clear enough. Suppose the client attached TMA in the package, and I add TMB of my own. When there is a match from TMB and I edit the segment, the sdlxliff file will record that the translation of that segment comes from TMB. Is there a way to remove this information? Isn't it a breach of my privacy? Thanks.

P.S. I did remove the TMs from the Project Settings page.

You are right Dec 16, 2013

I can't. But matches only, not all of the TMB.

One way: Dec 16, 2013

if you work with a copy from original file using TMA and TMB, update the translated TUs into TMA, and then work with original file and TMA, you will hide your TMB's contents, but the final file (delivery) will have 100s only.
