Hello,

(Please feel free to move this topic to another forum if this one is not the right one.)

My agency client is experiencing a font issue in a workflow which combines FrameMaker 9, SDL Trados 2007 (Workbench + TagEditor) and Polish.

After MIF files are converted to RTF and then TTX, translated using Trados 2007 Workbench + TagEditor, cleaned up and then reimported to FM 9, Polish-specific characters are replaced with other characters ('1' or '3' in the superscript, etc.). BTW, the project TTX files clean up correctly into RTFs (no font display issues) on my PC. Looks like something goes wrong at the MF9 MIF import or export stage.

I am sorry if my FM-related wording is not accurate or correct -- I am not an FM user, just recounting what the client said.

My client exact request is this:

If you know anyone on your end who has managed to get this precise configuration to work (FM9 / Trados 2007 / Polish or other CE language), then I'm eager to know how!

So, do you have any ideas? I will happily provide any additional information that may be required (if I have it).

The client is aware that the Trados 2007 workflow component may have to be upgraded, but would like to avoid it if possible.

Maciek

It looks as a font mapping problem.
I intentionally dropped FM many years ago, I don't remember the procedure.

Try to ask the same question at TW_users or tlumtech on yahoogroups, most Polish gurus left Proz.
E.g. try to reach Jurek Czopik or Wojtek Froelich.
