Need help urgently. Trados 2014 output file contains both source and target!

I just finished translating 12k words of txt files in Trados 2014, only to find that the output file contains the source AND the target language! WTH? Can somebody please help me with this?

This may have something to do with the source being "Tab delimited v 2.0.0.0"?

Hi,

When you use the Tab Delimited filetype the default is to take the first column as source and the second one, separated by a tab, as the target. This is what you have ended up with.

I guess you would have been better off disabling the tab delimited in the filetypes first and using the simple text filetype.

However, the solution is probably straightforward. Open the txt file you have now in Excel, delete the first column and save it as a txt again.

Many thanks for your help! I found that this works as well: File > Options > File Types > Tab Delimited > Format > change translation column to 1.
