I has met a lot of questions on segmentation.
When translating pdf files, many sentences are separated into pieces and not in right sequence. It's hard for me to read the article in Trados' edit window.
Firstly, I think this is because of an invisible "Enter" behind some word .I checked the segmentation settings in the Language Resource Template Settings dialog box and searched the help-file.I cannot find the solutions.
Secondly,a hyphen "-"cause the same question. But I cannot find out why.
Besides, can I change the segmentation rules when i am working on the edit window?

Look for helps .

It sounds like you are trying to use Word files generated automatically by OCR. In order to use Trados effectively, you need to have very clean input. At that point, it is possible you may not even need to adjust default segmentation settings. Spend whatever time it takes to clean up the files before translating them. Take a look at
Code Zapper and see if it helps.

The pdf file is an article about science, with a lot of formulas in it .The formulas is not in image format.I donot know what method the author of the article used to enter them either. However they made that page a mess。I have to manage it by myself .
The strange display of other pdf files is due to a large number of text boxes. Those text boxes divided some sentences into fragments. Could the CodeZapper help with this problem?
