Please help! I've logged a support ticket with SDL but it may take 3 days and I need to resolve this problem sooner. I have been using Trados Studio 2011 without problems and today I just can't open it - I get an error message about Framework.NET- the copy of the message is below.
What can I do???
I have re-installed Framework net but it didn't help.... I'm getting desperate!

Microsoft's fault, not the SDL's Apr 2, 2014

It might be a problem with the Microsoft COM applications.

And in your case, it could be a problem with the multiterm

The draconian solution would be a clean install, but you probably don't have the time for that. Can you finish the translation in the word processor?

A stopgap solution in the future would be to invest in a hmmm, Windows cleaning product, such as Tune Up Utilities 2013. Just set it up and forget about it.

In order to avoid problems with the host OS like these, you could use a cat tool in a dedicated virtual machine, so when and if something similar happens, just copy the virtual machine file to other computer and continue the work.

VmWare player is a free solution that can create and run virtual machines. Some small Windows xp installation, cat tool, office, firewall and antivirus software (if you need the internet) are all that you need.
