This tread is on the basis of

http://www.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/268495-multiterm_does_not_display_terms.html

I have had issues with multiterm. I would add a term, but mutliterm would not display it afterwards.

I am currently looking for any plugins to enhance the terminology management.

Looks like terminator is the way to go. Dear colleagues, if you use the plugin to add terms, could you please give a short info how to use it -- in terms of "add a term; make it sure that it is displayed consequently".

I have looked through

http://multifarious.filkin.com/2012/08/31/terminjector/

and

http://www.tntranslations.com/TermInjectorHelp.html

and did not find any easy-to-understand on how to do that. However, I am going to go back to the dates, etc. management, when I have a need.

In fact, if most of you are just looking for a way of adding terms that MultiTerm is not displaying as pointed out in the first thread, the Regular expression rule file step can be ignored (if allergic to Regex , etc.).

Converting Excel glossaries for use with TermInjector
Exact match rule files can be easily created from Excel glossaries by selecting the source and target columns simultaneously in Excel, copying them into Notepad, and saving the file in Notepad. For this to work, the target column should be immediately on the right side of the source column. If there are other columns between the source and target columns or the target column is on the left side of the source column, copy the columns into an empty Excel worksheet in the correct order and then copy them into Notepad. (excerpt from Tommi’s help file).

This would be the first step.

Second step – created a TM or use and existing one for your project and you’re done.

Couldn’t be any simpler,

Bernard

Also, as it has been pointed out, you need to use UTF-8 to save as the notepad.
