Dear fellow Studio2014 users,

Sorry for my poor search skills, but can someone tell me where to find the thread that talks about steps to include the "I work with Studio2014" image in the email signature? I remember seeing it a while ago on Proz. I downloaded these images from my SDL account but can't figure out the next steps...

Thank you so much for your help!

Chun-yi

It will depend Jul 5, 2014

It depends on who you are using for your email. You should have an email settings button somewhere that will give you access to your email signature. If it's already set up for HTML, you just need to add the line of code that includes the image. Usually there's an option to add an image, which is a lot easier.

If that doesn't work, please let us know who your email provider is so we can give some more accurate tips

it depends Jul 5, 2014

Exact instructions depend on what e-mail client (or web interface) do you use to send your e-mails.

Perhaps this is what you saw at Proz in the past?

I use Windows Live Mail Jul 5, 2014

Hi Lorenzo,

Thank you for sharing the link. I use Windows Live Mail to store my Hotmail emails, so the link you shared is probably the one I should try first. I just copied and pasted the content in the link to Word and will give it a try when I get a chance.
I thought it was easy to attach an image to an email, but apparently it involves more professional knowledge than I had thought judging from the asking price by my colleagues:)
Have a nice weekend, everyone!

need one final step Jul 6, 2014

Hi Lorenzo,

I think I almost get there. I followed the steps and made all necessary changes, but the SDL badge is still not showing. I probably need to do this final step below, but I don't know where this path is. Can you help?

"If you still don't see your image, you may need to go to Tools > Safety Options... > Security Tab> Download Images section and uncheck Block Images." (Is this also within Windows Live Mail?? I simply couldn't find it.)

Thank you so much!

Chun-yi

PS. I use Windows 7.

Options Jul 6, 2014

hi Chun-yi,
I am using Windows Live Mail 2012, with my UI in Spanish.
I have this setting in what in English should be something like the following:

Left upper tab (without a name, next to Main) > Options > Safety Options > tab Safety

hope you find the setting.
good luck!

found the path to deselect the block images option, but the issue remains Jul 6, 2014

Hi Lorenzo,

I found where the option is and deselected the block image option as instructed in the how-to file, but I still can't get the SDL badge to display. This is what the html file looks like in a web browser:

http://screencast.com/t/lomppx4PX6

The SDL badge is in png format. Would changing it to a different format help?

Thank you for any ideas you may have!

Chun-yi

don't know why Jul 6, 2014

hi again Chun-yi,
I really don't know why the badge doesn't show in your signature.
I can only think you might of made a slight mistake when editing the src=" " line of code of your signature .HTML file in Notepad.
in my case, the badge does appear but the cursor doesn't go to the receiver address field nor to the body of message field.
