I can't get tag from source into target SDL Edit

I'm using SDL Edit and Iv'e encountered the problem that I can't copy the tag (the coloured part of the segment) into the target. According to support sites it should work only by copying the source, but it doesn't follow the tags. I can't find the option "get source" either. Is there anyone who knows how to do this?

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

What is "SDL Edit"? Aug 5, 2014

There is no such software, actually. What do you call "SDL Edit"?

Ooops... Aug 5, 2014

Ok, the tool I'm using is SDL Trados Studio with Edit files (itd).
Anyways, I solved it. However, I don't think I did it the way it's supposed to be done. I'm pretty new to this format and tool.

... the poster says he is using Studio. It rather looks that he is trying to work with an ITD file in Studio.
