In Trados Studio 2014, how can I enter an alternative translation for a term?

Example:
In my French to English termbase, I have listed the French word "Annex", with the English translation "Appendix".
Trados now says that when I translate "annexé" as "attached", it's an error.
How can I add "attached" as an alternative translation?

Also, is it possible to make the entries in the Trados term base case-sensitive?
For instance, I want "Propriété" to be translated "Ownership", whereas "propriété" is "property".
If there is a tutorial on how to do this, can someone please post a link?

Thank you!

I found the answer to my first question. Oct 5, 2014

I figured out how to add an alternative translation: for anyone else with the same question, in Edit mode, click the down arrow next to the language and choose "Term".

Can anyone help with the second question? Is it possible to make the term base case-sensitive?

Thank you.

MT is not case-sensitive Oct 8, 2014

Hi Irene

Multiterm unfortunately does not distinguish upper and lowercase.
One cannot have an entry "autobus" (for the vehicle) and "AutoBus" (for a brand, for example.

It's a wish that we have turned in to SDL long time ago already ... and we are still waiting.

Walter

Hi Walter,
Thank you for this information.
There are a lot of advantages to CAT tools, but they have some way to go before they'll be truly user-friendly.
