Hi,

Just discovered when generating XLIFF target files that Trados 2014 apparently messes up with the encoding, sometimes converting to ANSI from UTF-8, sometimes keeping the original UTF-8 encoding. Then have to open these XLIFF files with PSPad to set the encoding straight again.

Same issue with wrong encoding Mar 7, 2016

I'm having the same issue with Trados 2014. The exported XLIFF have invalid encoding: it should be UTF-8 but it's actually ASCII.

For instance, the 'ä' char is exported as 0xE4 (ASCII) but it should be 0xC3 0xA4 (http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/00e4/index.htm).

Did you solve the problem?
