Difference between sdlxliff (2014) and sdlxliff (2011)

I have a doubt
A customer give me a sdlxliff file that he exports with sdl 2014 for work with this file.
My question is:
Is there difference between a sdlxliff file (2014) and a sdlxliff file (2011)?

SDLXLIFF files in 2011 and 2014 are Exactly the Same. Nov 5, 2014

Hi Celer,

the SDLXLIFF files created with 2011 and 2014 are exactly the same. So you will be fully compatible with your customer.

Kind regards,

... with regard to the sdlxliff files. Steve is correct in that you can work with the sdlxliff file in any version of Studio. However, they are not the same. So if you are using Studio 2011 and you open an sdlxliff file that was created in Studio 2014 there will be some things that you probably won't be able to do such as create the target file for example. This is because the filetype used to create the sdlxliff is 2014 is most likely a different version that Studio 2011 will not know about. You may even see warning messages as you work.

None of these things should prevent you from being able to work on the file and translate it. But only 2014 will have full capability over some features.

So Steve is correct for the most part, but if you do this don't be surprised if you see warning messages because these files are not the same.
