I am supposed to start a new project with the TM I received from a client, it´s password protected, but that was never mentioned before, therefore, here I am stuck with 18000 to deliver next week and no TM. Is there a way to open the Tm and work from there??
Desperately yours

I am afraid there is not Dec 29, 2004

When it happened to me, I had to call my client and ask for the password...

Try any feasible password Dec 29, 2004

Try inserting the client's name or your PM's name or the agency's name or any other kind of possible password that could be connected to this project.

Try blank or carriage return Dec 29, 2004

Some agencies leave it blank and assume it will work by default.

Check read only attribute Dec 30, 2004

Hello,

check if the "read only" attribute is set on the tm files.

Try passwords like: super, test, guest, , , ...

With kind regards

Thank you all! Dec 31, 2004

In the end I finally contacted my client, through my friends in Proz who provided me with a valuable link. In fact I was lucky enough to find contact info in the web!!!!The password worked but there was something wrong with the languages the TM had been set to. End of story.

More relaxed
