Hello,
I have been using Studio 2009 and 2011 for years. A couple of weeks ago I ugpraded to Studio 2014.

When I want to export an SDLTM memory to TMX or vice-versa, i.e. to import a TMX memory into a SDLTM file, I was using the Export resp. Import button next to the "Open" or "New" TM symbols or buttons.

Now these Export and Import buttons suddenly disappeared to nowhere. Sometimes however, they are there. But most of the time they are not. Actually, I did not see them for about a week.

This means, I cannot export to TMX nor import from TMX.

Does anybody know

- why the buttons disappear (and eventually re-appear) (any settings needed?) and
- is there another way of exporting/importing to/from TMX when these buttons are not there?

Thank you so much for your help.
Kind regards
Daniel Gebauer

... you are in a different ribbon, or you don't have a TM selected? Whatever the reason yiu can always right-click and select these options.

Right click where? Mar 15, 2015

Thank you Paul,

This is my view:

There should be 2 icons/buttons for Import and Export.

I tried right clicking across the screen but I don't get that option.

Kind regards
Daniel

ok - after clicking aorund a bit... Mar 15, 2015

... I see your problem. I think it's because you have deselected a TM in the TM memories view. You currently have this minimised so I can't see it but if you expand that view I bet you no longer have a TM selected.

Also, if you right-click on the TM in that pane when you expand it then you will see the import/export options. The right-click menu is generally context sensitive.
