Dear support,

Will SDL Trados Studio 2015 be optimised for the iMac Retina?

Cheers,

Hans

Why? What's wrong with it?

Generic problem with high-resolution displays Apr 27, 2015

The problem is not specific to the iMac: it is generic with displays that have a "higher-than-usual" resolution.

Take this part of the Studio 2014 interface, as displayed on my old laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad X301, 1440x900):

This is what it looks like on my new laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, 2560x1440):

SDL is in need of a reality check: people use higher-resolution displays in 2015 than in 2009, when Studio was first introduced. They need to make sure all parts of the interface scale properly on the displays people are using today.

Also see this thread.

I agree Apr 27, 2015

I agree with your posting. Regarding your screenshot: there are cases where the size of fonts is much more problematic. E.g. in the the Projects selector, a crucial pane.

Hello Meyers,

Thanks for your reply!

To your question: No, this is already known/has been posted here.

I actually have to use Studio 2014 for QA/creation of return packages. So I'd be interested in a solution.
