Linked and bold terms go to a different segment

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question.

How do I configure trados in a way that keeps linked words in the same segment instead of creating a new one for them. Let's say I have this sentence,

"This is bad for your kidneys." And kidneys is linked. How can avoid having this:

This is bad for you
kidneys
.

Is the sentence in a table? May 15, 2015

It looks like the sentence is in a table, otherwise there is no logic to this segmentation. What letter do you see besides the segment with the word "kidneys"? I mean to the right side.

No, the sentence in the document reads This affects your kidneys. But when I import it into Trados, when I go to work with it, the sentence becomes in the left column.

.

And of course I have to follow that pattern. Once I export it back I have to do all the tweaks. It's VERY annoying.

I wished it appeared like
This affects your kidneys.

Does it make sense? Thanks for following up.

I have had this problem more than one time with bold words May 15, 2015

(Studio 2011). I prefer to edit them later in the exported target document.
