Hello,

I've been having this weird problem recently - my Trados 2014 just won't accept docx files. It tells me that the format is not supported.

It has worked before now it just won't. I've checked the settings and it should actually support the docx. Has anyone encountered the problem before?

are they definietly docx? Jun 24, 2015

Maybe your problematic files are not really docx? For example RTF with an incorrect extension.

Open one problematic docx in your Notepad and see if it starts with "PK" sequence.

For instance a document coming from an old Word version, or an rtf file renamed docx.

Just read the file with Word and then save it with new name.
Take care to save it as a .docx file (choose in the list).
