Error message in TM

I am using SDL Trados Studio 2014 and when I try to import a .tmx to a TM in he option "project setting", an error box is displayed : " The system can not localize your .mwf file"

It seems that Trados is mixing the files. Can anyone help me please?

I agree it sounds like that.
Are you sure you're importing a .tmx? If you open it in a text editor, does the first line say TMX?

Are you sure you're not trying to import a Workbench TM (.tmw)? In that case, Studio would need the file it mentions.
