Problem with a tab delimited text in Trados 2014 & 2015

If a " (double quotation) is included in the tab delimited text, the string before the " is truncated.
For example, a sample text file has the following 1 line ([tab] is a tab charcater).
I "have" a pen.[tab]You "can" do it.
When opened the file in Trados 2014 (and also 2015), it does not show all text but shows like this:
source column: a pen.
target column: do it.
Trados 2009 can show all the text, not truncate anything.

I also tried to delete two " in this file like:
I "have a pen.[tab]You "can do it.
Then nothing is displayed in 2014 and 2015, but OK in 2009.

I am using a default setting either.

Does anyone have a similar problem? Please let me know how I can solve this.

… the settings on your Project Settings > File Types > Tab delimited text > Format are:

Source column = 1
Translation column = 2.

I see these 2 possibilities:

1.- Translate it as a regular TXT file: to do so, just untick the Tab delimited text file type on the right pannel of Project Settings > File Types
The problem is that you get nasty duplicated double quotes, and the tab is not used as a segment delimiter (btw, I don't know why!).

So I'd go for the second option below…

2.- Save it as XLS or XLSX in Excel, translate it in Studio, and then save it back to a TXT tab delimited (in Excel).
