I yesterday discovered what looks like a bug in Studio 2015: The word count is rather weird, and it is important to have it fixed.

I have got a translation package, where I have checked out the files for the translation. The analysis gives the following word counts and confirmation statistics:

TASK1912252 613 4547
TASK1912393 856 1736
TASK1914115 352 639
TASK1912383 346 360
TASK1913184 499 608

I have got a translation package, where I have checked out the files for the translation. The analysis gives the following word counts and confirmation statistics:

Total 5611 10869

Now the original analysis gave a total of 5611, including 100% matches, repetitions etc, which agrees with the first column, but not with the confirmation statistics in the files view, so something is definitely wrong here.

This is important too, as the result is that I cannot check in the files after having checked them out. Instead I now have to return the individual sdlxliff files in an e-mail, which wasn't really the idea.

The error message I get when checking in the files is as follows:

"Confirmation Statistics word count is greater than the total number of words"

Not sure if this will help in your case with the check-in, but I often see discrepancies in the counts after editing files. I'm not sure why this happens, but a while back there was a suggestion from Paul Filkin about running the Translation Count task. It always seems to fix the discrepancies. Maybe it will work in your case?
