I recently translated a Word document in Studio 2015. The headings all had {XE "headingtext"XE}tags following the heading text. Apparently Studio hid the actual header text, and displayed only the text between the XE tags (which is invisible when printing the Word file), so that the actual header text was not visible in the Studio XLIFF.
Upon exporting the Word file, Studio exported back the *source text* of the header text (which had been invisible in the XLIFF), along with the XE tag text. I had to add all the headers back manually in Word.
What would cause this strange behavior?
As an experiment, I tried the same thing in MemoQ, and the file behaved as expected, so there doesn't seem to be anything inherently wrong with the file.
