It is absolutely impossible to import the tmx from MemoQ.

And here the details:

Are you sure the exported tmx file is OK? Mar 29, 2016

I would test it first using the free and powerful Heartsome tmx editor

Thanks Mar 29, 2016

I have tested it with the tmx validator and I can open it with Olifant.

My solution in situations such as this: Mar 29, 2016

Open the problematic TMX in one of these:

1. Heartsome's free TMX editor:
2. Olifant: > (assuming you are on Windows)
3. Xbench (free or paid):

Then resave it as a new TMX. I have yet to encounter a single TMX that refused to import into another tool after running it through one of these first.

PS: numbers 1. & 2. also contain very useful tag-cleaning tools, which can also help.

A suggestion Mar 30, 2016

Hello Geneviève!

As you know, I'm not a big CAT Tools fan, but I have some technical knoweldge about them.

As a normal human being I do not understand what your error message could mean, but knowing that your TMX is clean after a test with TMX Validator and Olifant, I could imagine that you have a language coding problem?

If I'm not wrong the languages have the following code in MemoQ :

fr-be, fr-ca, fr-fr, etc. (just a few illustrations) and the same for other supported languages.

In SDL Studio, these silly linguistic variants (you knew there is a fr-mc (Monaco)?) are :

fr-BE, fr-CA,fr-FR a.s.o.

It seems that fr-fr is not able to communicate with fr-FR, not to speak about FR-FR.

I did experiment such problems once and it could be the problem.

If not look at the standard declaration at the beginning of the TMX (with Notepad++ or similar). A little version variant may generate recognition problems.

Bien amicalement et bon courage pour la suite !

Codes!!! Mar 30, 2016

Thanks, Olivier, Michael and Jorge,

I delete all tmx-codes with Olifant and it was possible to export the tmx.
