Please reset window layout (from the View menu) or make a forum search for other solutions.

Trados staff, please? Apr 1, 2016

Sorry but what does the layout have to do with Language Weaver?
Don't see how that would work. And it didn't.

Trados staff, please?

Language Weaver community server is no longer available Apr 4, 2016

This is the real answer now, after loads of digging:

The Language Weaver community server is no longer available for the use of machine translation in Studio 2009.

Note that Studio 2009 reached the end of life (EOL) on June 30, 2014.

Great, thanks!

I have tried everything (Studio 2014 on Windows 10) Apr 11, 2016

"object reference not set to an instance of an object" has been discussed many many times, and I've tried many different solutions, for example all the solutions mentioned here http://producthelp.sdl.com/kb/Articles/4984.html
(including:
1. resetting window display
2. renaming 3 files in C:\Documents and Settings\[USER_NAME]\Application Data\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\11.0.0.0
3. running a repair in the software manager
4. completely uninstalling and reinstalling Trados Studio)
5. Copying the contents of a file to a clean .doc file (works on my desktop computer when I have the same issue with Studio 2011; this computer is currently not with me))

I've gotten to the point where I just cannot work with Trados Studio. I would like to know what else I can do. This is extremely time consuming and annoying...

I could also try to deactivate Studio 2011 remotely and install Studio 2011 on my laptop, but that's not as easy either and it isn't as if I got Studio 2014 for free, I'd like to be able to use it...
