Hi there! I'm a new comer and I am getting into trouble with my trados.

My client sent me an word doc and required me to send back bilingual doc and target doc. I followed the manual guidline, batch converted the file with .doc extension in Trados Workbench 2007. Then, when I used Trados studio 2015 to continue converting, it said that the file is not supported. I comletely cannot convert .Doc into Bilingual Doc.

What is the problem? Did I skipp any step while doing?

I am using Trados Studio 2015 and Trados Workbench 2007 fully licensed.

Order number request Apr 8, 2016

Hi,

In order to assist you further, could you please let me know a six digit order number for your Studio 2015 license?

You can find the order number on invoice or in your SDL online account/orders/order history

Looking forward to your reply.

Kind Regards,

A bilungual review can bu used for you Apr 8, 2016

Dear Prinna2706,

I recommend you to follow these steps:

1 - Complete your translation and be done with all of confirmations and QA checks, click save.
2 - Go to review tab and then on the left corner "Export for bilingual review".
3 - You will retain a file exported out as a word file in two columns.

But notice that this file will contain tags in between square brackets as "" and so..
You only need to clean them up.
I can provide you a macro which can do it in a few seconds to you if you write me personally, and surely to anyone who needs that too.

I hope this will be a solution for you,

Best Regards ,
Bahar

There's a simple solution to your problem if you already translated it with Trados 2007 workbench

1. Unhide all the hidden words;
2. Replace the front symbols {0 with Space
3. Replace the rear symbols 0} with Space
4. Replace the middle symbols {0} with ^p
5. Replace ^#^# with ^p.

Then, your bilingual document is produced.
