Hi all,

Trados 2015 keep crashing for no reason the last couple of days (well, not to my knowledge).

Does the program keep a log of every crash?

Any thoughts/tips/solutions to this issue??

I have a fairly new laptop with insane big processor and RAM, so memory issues are definitely not my problem (maybe if I would run 4 or 5 other big programs, have 10 internet pages open, listen to youtube and watch a movie or something, but even if I just ru

I have a fairly new laptop with insane big processor and RAM, so memory issues are definitely not my problem (maybe if I would run 4 or 5 other big programs, have 10 internet pages open, listen to youtube and watch a movie or something, but even if I just run Trados, it crashes every now and then....

Bear in mind that I am not working on a very big and/or complicated project with loads of different formatted files or anything; just one plain xldiff file with about 10,000 words in it.

Up until now, I never had any issues with this latest version, but since I installed that SP2 update, I have experienced more issues than ever (I also cannot open packages from clients, even if they are made with trados 2015).

As far as I know, SDL says that they are aware of this issue (not able to open packages) and they are working on a solution...

Kind regards,

Laurens.

Did you also install the latest CU? May 30, 2016

Laurens

You mention that you use Studio 2015 SR2. Did you also install the latest CU (cumulative update, can be installed directly from within Studio by going to "Help - Check for updates".

Also, I suggest that you try the steps described in KB article 6625:
http://kb.sdl.com/kb/article?ArticleId=6625&source=Article&c=12&cid=23

especially step 2.

You can find the logs of Studio in: c:\Users\wbl\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0\

If you can't fix the problem, you may ask help from SDL support: http://support.xl8.one/
