Dear all,
This is going back a bit, but a customer has just hit me with some Framemaker 7 MIF files.
I altered the header to trick Studio into thinking they're Framemaker 8 files, and then imported them.
Unfortunately, characters like speech marks and umlauts are converted into wierd codes.
Does anybody know how to import MIFs (which appear OK in a text editor) into Studio 2015 without losing the special characters?
Thanks,
-Mike-

Sorry, just seen that the MIF exports are NOT okay... So it's back to the FrameMaker manual, then...

Just in case anybody else is in the same jam...
Paul's wonderful article:

Or in shorthand: use "Filter > Legacy DTP formats" in Studio.
Sometime, Google really is your friend.

Just in case someone wants to use this and searches:-)
