Hello All,
I opened a project package, which contained 6 files, in SDL 2014. All of these files were saved as a target upon completion, except for one. SDL generates an error when I try to save the file as target, which reads: Cannot find file type definition with id WorkProcessing v 2.

I know that this depends on the file types in project settings, but do not know how to resolve the issue as I've heard that this file format is available in SDL 2015!

Any clues?

Studio 2014 does not have this file type yet Aug 5, 2016

The file you mention has been prepared by someone in Studio 2015 using the new Word 2007-2016 file type. As you don't have this file type in your Studio 2014 (it did not exist yet at that time), you cannot do a preview nor generate the target file.
The workaround is to send the SDLXLIFF file to the originator (who has 2015), he can then create the target document.

This is a logical incompatibility issue you will always face if you get a package created by a more recent version of Studio than the one you have. But you can still translate the SDLXLIFF because these files are fully interchangeable. It is only the conversion back to the source format that does not work.
