How can I delete or clear pseudotranslated text in the target text? I have chosen the $ as sign and now all previously empty segments are filled with $ signs. If I delete it, the signs still remain visible. Besides, I would have to delete every segment, which is too much work. I am using Studio 2015.

If you reopen the file, the target should be empty Aug 5, 2016

Hi

Normally, when you reopen the file (provided you did not save the pesudotranslated SDLXLIFF), the pseudotranslated target should disappear.

If this doesn't work, select all segments and hit ALT-DEL.

Alt+del: the text is striken through Aug 6, 2016

Hi, I tried alt+del, but the text is only striken through, I can still see the text.
If I have to select a large file in Trados, it is just not possible with hundreds of segments. There should be another way.

Do you have Tracking changes enabled? If so, you should disable it. Furthermore, you know how to select all rows?

Select all segments Aug 7, 2016

Make the first segment active (blue background), then roll down to the last segment in the document, SHIFT-CLICK into the segment number column (the first one) of this segment. This will select all the segments, which you can see because a light yellow background appears. Now, without moving your mouse pointer outside of he first column (your pointer must still be displayed as a hand), right-click. A context menu appears, now select "Clear Target Segment" or hit ALT-DEL.

pseudo translate: empty all cells in TT Aug 12, 2016

So it is:
1. open for translation, you are in Editor mode.
2. menu: review: switch off track changes.
3. make the first row blue by clicking on number 1 in the first column.
4. click in the first column on the last row number of the file
5. press alt+del
the cells in the target text are all empty now.

I have found a reply in SDL community. Wanted to share it here as well.

Thank you Walter.
