Hi guys!

I'm getting these two errors everytime I open a file on Trados 2015, I've tried everything people suggested, from uninstalling and installing again, changing "projects" to "projects_old" in the projects folder, restoring the system.

The file opens but it won'd let me use find+replace, see the wordcount or generate the target file.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Mariana Carmo

Is this a file within a project? Sep 8, 2016

Mariana

How do you open the file? Is it part of a project and you double-click on the file name in the "Files" view?
If yes, and you get this error then it probably means that some files (such as the dependency file) have disappeared. This can be caused by security software cleaning up temporary files.

I suggest you try to open the source file again using "Translate Single File". If this works, you can then simply assign your TM to the project and run the batch task "Pretranslate" to get back to where you left before.

Errors solved Sep 8, 2016

Hi Walter,

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately it wasn't anything of the sort.

SDL told me what I should do a couple hours ago, I'll just leave here the solution, it might be useful to someone else:

Dear Mariana,

Thanks so much for your reply. Let's try the following the steps:

1. Close SDL Trados Studio / Activation dialog.
2. Browse to the folder C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio4\Data
3. Rename or delete file Studio.lic
4. Start Studio and do a online activate. (I reset once more )

Please refer to activate :

and to show the hidden folders:

Please let me know how it goes,
Kind regards,

Elena
