Hello

I hope I am not duplicating a thread.

I find Trados 2015 has quite a clumsy way of handling multiple termbases in a project. Firstly, I cannot easily see which termbase is default, ie into which termbase will a term be added after hitting Ctrl+F2. Also, changing which termbase is default for the purpose of adding a term is kinda clumsy and time-consuming (well, I know it’s only 4 clicks, call me a spoilt brat).

It may be that I am missing a trick, or it may be that other colleagues don’t have this problem. (I use up to three termbases at a time – one general termbase for all projects, and then maybe a downloaded termbase from, say, Microsoft, plus my own project-specific glossary.)

Thanks for any response.

Pavel

Hi,

You can click on the Termbase settings from the Term Recognition window. This opens a dialogue that lets you choose all options you have just mentioned. I don't think it can be any more convenient than this...

I hit Ctrl+F2, start editing the term, then I realize I don’t know to which termbase I’m adding it, cancel editing, use the icon you mention, Toon, check and possibly change default termbase (4 clicks), then add the term again.

Yes, i realize it may be just me.
