Error messages when opening Trados Studio 2014

Hello,

I have encountered some problems in Trados Studio 2014. When I open a file (any file type), I get the message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Also, when I try to confirm a translation segment, the message "TM update failed." shows. This means I am currently unable to do translation in Trados Studio 2014, so I am asking for your help ...

This is for sure the most frequently posted problem. Just use the Forum Search. IIRC, you need to reset the Window layouts and / or resolve problems shown in error messages.
