Hello everyone

I recently uninstalled the Visual C++ installations from my computer, and now Trados 2007 (TagEditor and Workbench) refuses to start. It tells me "The application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." Thanks

Don't know for the C++ libraries, but... Feb 6, 2017

...these are the support files Trados 2007 SP3:

ISScirpt1050.msi
jre-1_5_0_10-windows-i586-p.exe
vcredist_x86.exe
windowsInstaller3.1KB893803-v2-x86.exe

2005, it seems. One has to Google for it a bit.

2008 is also required for the updated DOCX file filters to work.

...and the VC++ library is among them. Feb 6, 2017

Among these support files, vcredist_x86.exe contains the VC++ runtime library ("redistributable").

I think the 'side-by-side' is MultiTerm-related, you need... Feb 6, 2017

you also need these support files for (re)-installation:

Sdl.Multiterm.SideBySide.Release.msi
variables.xml
And then the Java for MultiTerm must be: jre-6u14-windows-i586.exe

Please PM me if you don't find it.

Mike

I solved the problem in a dummy sort of way: re-installed Trados (-:
