Hi there,

I'm trying to do a file backup with some new software (AOMEI backupper), and it keeps returning the message "files open, cannot back up". The files shown are Studio files, even though I've closed the projects, closed Studio, and rebooted my laptop several times. Any advice on where these 'open' files might be hiding on my laptop or how to close them would be very gratefully received.

Thanks

1 -- The file system is corrupted. Use CHKDSK. See https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee872425.aspx

2 -- The files are not on your laptop but in the cloud, in a NAS, or ...

3 -- There is a software that runs automatically upon any boot and reopens the files. Strange but possible. Have a guru take a look at your laptop. Or learn how to use MS Pro

Oops, sorry, I meant Process Monitor.
See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon
