I am frequently working with large files where source file often needs on-the-fly corrections (typical - the file resulting from OCR treatment).

How can I correct source segment without :
- closing my bi-lingual work file,
- reverting to the source file,
- correcting it and
- re-doing translation once more?

All tips will be very mucj appreciated

Thank you,

Marina

Changing the source text May 8, 2005

What editor do you use - MS Word or TagEditor?

In Word you can simply edit the source text before opening the respective segment. If the segment has been already (pre)translated, you will have to restore it first (Alt+Del). If you need to remove paragraph break to join two parts of the source segment, you will have to restore the following segment too.

In TagEditor you can change the source too, but you have to disable document protection first.

Thank you - will try this one, it seems to work just fine.

I am working with Word and, unfortunately, not all Trados commands are accepted - why it is so rests mystery to me.

Will report my successes (or failures) later on. As usual, this translation is rush-rush-rush.

Regards
