Hi!

Does anyone knows the shortcut used in a laptop, which in the "normal" one is alt+* ?

I really appreciate your help.

What I did was... May 25, 2005

... associate another shortcut to this command.

In Word, go to Tools > Customise > Keyboard button.

In the Categories box, select Macros.

In the Macros box, select Tw4winSetCloseOpenGet.Main.

Choose another shortcut in Press new shortcut key (I chose Alt+!).

Select this new shortcut in Current keys. Press Close.

Special key + Alt + * May 25, 2005

Hi there

In my laptop, to the left of the "Ctrl" key there's what the manual calls a "Special key". I need to press that + Alt + the relevant key when I want to use Trados' shortcuts.

HTH.

Regards,
Jerónimo

I really didn't want to change all the shortcuts for Trados, so I connected an extenreal keyboard to my laptop......

Fn + Alt + * May 25, 2005

You have to press the key that activates the special functions of the keypad. I think it has the same name in all laptops (Fn).
By holding it pressed together with Alt and * ou + you don't have to change any shortcuts to use Trados in your laptop.

I did something similar (with ctrl+.) Fn+Alt+* worked erratically on Word 2003 (ativates menu and sticks the Alt key as if it was kept depressed)
